Frequently asked questions
Can it be cured?
Dry eye is a chronic condition: it isn't cured, but it is controlled very well with regular treatment. The key is to keep doing what works.
My eyes water all the time. They can't be dry, can they?
Often they are. A dry eye gets irritated and produces a surplus of poor-quality reflex tears, which overflow. It's a classic sign of dryness.
Which artificial tears should I choose?
Not just any: formulas differ depending on the cause. Favour preservative-free vials, and ask the optometrist which one suits your case.
